Over the years, I have turned to the Internet, Teachers Pay Teachers, and (of course) Pinterest, but I found that the secondary strategies are aimed at the lower grades. If you teach above 9th grade, especially above 10th, you may also find strategic information lacking for older students. Don’t get me wrong–I have a few resources and blogs saved that I have used in the past, but finding solutions to everyday problems in my 12th grade classroom is difficult when the only results popping up are for students under 15 years old. And I don’t know how many times I’ve been roped into an article or professional development that promised great information for “upper grades” or “older students” only to be for 5th or 6th grade.
